When a financial institution requires third-party verification for it financial products, the financial institution user can choose to include counselor verification as part of the application review process on Happy Mango. When an individual or small business applies for such financial products, the applicant is asked to designate a financial counselor as the referral source. And when the applicant submits the application, a request for verification is automatically triggered and sent to the designated financial counselor. The financial institutions usually wait for the counselors to complete the verification before beginning their review of the applications submitted. It is important for the counselors to respond to such requests in a timely manner.
From a counselor's perspective, the verification process follows these sequential steps.
Step 1. Receive a system generated email with a verification link
You will receive an email requesting your verification as soon as the applicants who have named you as their referral source submit their applications on Happy Mango. There is a secure hyperlink with an embedded URL in the body of this email.
Step 2. Log into your Happy Mango Financial Counselor account to open link
Clicking on the link opens up the verification form. You can open this link only if you are logged in your Happy Mango Financial Counselor account.
Step 3. Review and complete the verification form
The verification form is designed by the financial institution. It may include a number of input fields along with file upload prompts that are either required or optional. You have three choices when completing the verification form:
1. Reject the request because you do not know the applicant
Click on the "I do not know this client" link on top right of the verification form.
2. Decline the request because the applicant has not completed the requirements listed
Click on the "Decline to Verify" button at the bottom of the verification form.
3. Complete filling out the form and submit it for the financial institution to review
Click on the"Submit" button at the bottom of the verification form after completing it.
When you have responded to the verification form, the verification status of the application will be updated in the system from "Pending" to "Rejected", "Declined", or "Submitted". The financial institution will take your response and the information you have provided into consideration when deciding whether to approve or decline the application. In addition, the applicant will receive an automated message notifying them that you have responded to their request.
If you completed and submitted the form for a new client, this client will automatically appear on your "Current Clients" list. You can review the information you submitted by clicking on the "Verified" hyperlink on the client's Applications page.
